Hi LP! I'm Katy (with a Y), a Midwest-based food, wine, travel, and design writer. I love a road trip, a crispy white wine (aka patio pounder), trashy fairy novels, fancy s'mores (yep, it's a thing) and traveling the globe. I'm especially fond of writing about my home region, the often ignored and misunderstood Midwest. I'm also a Europe expert and will have traveled there five times in 2024 alone. When I'm not on the road searching for my next story, I split my time between Minnesota, Wisconsin and Nebraska, where I reside with my black lab puppy Jade, husband Skip, and bubbly toddler Bobby.
